Q Fever in Europe: Committee co-chairs Share Updates on Epidemiology and Control Strategies

The European Q Fever Committee is launching today a video interview series featuring experts from across Europe.

Through these videos, Committee members will share field experiences, research findings, and strategies to improve Q fever awareness, diagnosis, and prevention in livestock and public health.

By combining expertise from Spain, Greece, the UK, Belgium, and Austria, the initiative supports a collaborative One Health approach to tackle Coxiella burnetii, the bacterium responsible for Q fever in animals and humans.

Together, they provide valuable insights into Q fever epidemiology, diagnostic practices, and prevention measures across Europe.
